For those of you that have not had your breakfast today there is a quick and easy solution. Take a whole grain granola bar: Nature Valley, Nutri -Grain, Quaker Oatmeal, Luna Bar. Break it a part and stir into a small cup of non-fat vanilla yogurt. Swirl in a little bit of jam or a drizzle of honey for an extra kick of sweetness. It is a meal that can be made within in minutes that is healthy and satisfying. I know many of you must be thinking you can go to the corner deli and get this already made, but the reality is you have no idea what they are actually putting into the yogurt cups. Certain types of Granola can be extremely heavy and fattening. Instead of giving you energy to get through the day it will weigh you down and make you tired. If it is made on your own the quality of the ingredients can be controlled. Try it and enjoy!
