Bananas and peanut butter is the perfect morning snack, it will energize you and get you ready for lunch
Sanjaya lost his spot on "American Idol" he finally got voted off, now it is time for America to realize who the real talent should be!
Lindsay Lohan went clubbing but "forgot her pants."
It must be fun to get drunk and then sue a bar for being drunk and falling down. That is what Matthew Shewmake did. He left Norb's tavern in Madison, Wisconsin and tripped with a beer bottle in his hand. He is trying to sue the bar for $200,000 because he got hurt.
Dude of the day goes to Matthew McConaughey with a body like his, it just has to be his day.
Dudette of the day goes to Kim Hersov any girl would love to hug up to Jude Law and she is the lucky winner!

Morning Snack
This mornings pick me up is bananas and peanut butter, it is a simple thing to make and will only take 2 minutes. All you have to do is peel a banana and cut it into slices, take two tablespoons of peanut butter and heat it up in the microwave for 30 seconds. Pour the peanut butter over the sliced bananas and enjoy! If you want to add a little crunch to this snack you can put in a few unsalted peanuts or a handful of granola, it will add another layer of flavor and will give you a little bit of crunch in every bite. It is a great snack to tide you over until lunch.

Daily Recap
- Peanut Butter and Jelly is a great morning snack. It will revive you and get you over the slump after your caffeine buzz from your morning coffee wears off. It will give you energy and if you skipped breakfast the peanut butter will give you all the protein you missed from your morning eggs or oatmeal.
- Pita Pizza is a healthier and lighter version of the traditional cheesy slice. It is a way to be creative and use your imagine to make whatever you are craving. The toppings could range anywhere from cheese and tomato to apple and gorgonzola cheese. The pita can be used as a dessert shell as well, spread some butter on it then sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar, bake until golden brown then top with your favorite sweet treats. As I said the options are endless and it gives you a chance to play with your food like you were a little kid.
- If you are going to burn something popcorn and tater tots are the worst things to burn. I had a craving today and decided to make some tater tots, it is a very random food to crave but when you really want something you just have to have it. I got distracted and forgot about them until I smelled them burning. The whole kitchen got a little smoky and of course the whole house started to smell like burnt popcorn. It is the hardest smell in the world to get rid of. I tried opening the doors, spraying air freshener, and lighting candles but nothing seemed to work. Finally I tried Febreeze, thank god it worked now instead of burnt popcorn the whole house smells like laundry.
- Heather Mills and Sanjaya are my picks for dude and dudette of the day. Heather gave everyone the show they have been waiting for on last nights "Dancing With the Stars," and Sanjaya has America waiting in anticipation to see what his hair will look like on tonights "American Idol."
- A retired Couple from Queens finally made it to Arizona. The elderly couple took a cab from New York to Arizona just so their precious cat's would not have to sit in an airplane hanger for a few hours. I am sure a long and probably smelly cab ride seemed like a much better option.

Morning Snack

When you are coming down from you caffeine buzz from all the coffee you downed in the past two hours, here is the perfect snack to have before you get to your lunch. I try to eat breakfast every morning but sometimes there is just no time. Coffee becomes my morning meal, but after the sugar and caffeine buzz wares off I need something else to pick me back up, for me the perfect snack is a nice peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I know some of you may be laughing but when you think about eating a nice rich peanut butter and jelly sandwich it does make you crave it. It is the perfect combination of protein and sugar, if you are at work a container of peanut butter and a little jar of jelly is not that hard to stash in one of your drawers. I like to eat it on whole wheat or 7 grain bread, the bread is stiffer and will not get soggy from the jelly. It is the perfect pick me up to eat in the middle of the morning, it will keep you satisfied for a little while and will re energize you. Try it and see how good it makes you feel.

Snack Time
This is my take on an apple pie without the crust. Now that the summer is coming closer we are all trying to get in shape so we can be ready to hit the beach. Well this recipe for my "apple pie" will let you have all the flavors you love without feeling the guilt of eating too much fat. I take an apple cut it into wedges (without the core) and throw it into a bowl. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and toss in a little bit of cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar (about 2 tbsp. each.) Mix all of the ingredients together and add 1/4 of a cup of raisins. After all of the ingredients are combined put all of the apples in a baking pan and bake them off at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Once they come out of the oven top off the apples with a little bit of vanilla frozen yogurt or a drizzle of honey. This recipe will have all of the flavors of an apple pie without the heavy crust. Try it at home and I guarantee you will fall in love with it, and if for some reason you don't at least it will make the house smell delicious. Either way this recipe will satisfy your sense of taste or smell. Enjoy!

Recipe of the day
Today's episode of 30 Minute Meals is all about breakfast. When the kids or adults are hungry this meal is the perfect quick fix. Apple-maple-chicken sausage sandwiches and Crunchy monkey peanut butter banana sticks are the perfect way to start any morning. This is a classic breakfast sandwich with a healthy and flavorful twist. The sausage sounds complicated to make but is actually very easy. It is a combination of ground chicken, diced fresh apples, onions, garlic and a drizzle of maple syrup. Mix it all together and you have created your own home made sausage. Top these sausage patties with scrambled eggs mixed with a little cheese and put it all in between an english muffin or a nice flaky buttery biscuit.
Dessert for breakfast? These peanut butter bananas are so healthy and easy to make. As a kid at some point everyone has had a peanut butter and banana sandwich. This is the same concept but without the bread. Put a banana on a wooden skewer. Slather with honey and peanut butter, roll it around in some chopped nuts and you are done. It is truly delicious!
