Dudette of the day

Everyone takes a spill sometimes but it is so much funnier when it is a celebrity. I don't know why it is so fun to make fun of celebrities, I see people fall down all the time and I have definitely been known to take a fall every once in a while. Today is Scarlett Johannsen's day, she got a nice little taste of New York pavement.

Daily Recap

• Peanut Butter and Jelly is a great morning snack. It will revive you and get you over the slump after your caffeine buzz from your morning coffee wears off. It will give you energy and if you skipped breakfast the peanut butter will give you all the protein you missed from your morning eggs or oatmeal.

• Pita Pizza is a healthier and lighter version of the traditional cheesy slice. It is a way to be creative and use your imagine to make whatever you are craving. The toppings could range anywhere from cheese and tomato to apple and gorgonzola cheese. The pita can be used as a dessert shell as well, spread some butter on it then sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar, bake until golden brown then top with your favorite sweet treats. As I said the options are endless and it gives you a chance to play with your food like you were a little kid.

• Will Ferrell fights with his "drunk" landlord!

• If you are going to burn something popcorn and tater tots are the worst things to burn. I had a craving today and decided to make some tater tots, it is a very random food to crave but when you really want something you just have to have it. I got distracted and forgot about them until I smelled them burning. The whole kitchen got a little smoky and of course the whole house started to smell like burnt popcorn. It is the hardest smell in the world to get rid of. I tried opening the doors, spraying air freshener, and lighting candles but nothing seemed to work. Finally I tried Febreeze, thank god it worked now instead of burnt popcorn the whole house smells like laundry.

• Heather Mills and Sanjaya are my picks for dude and dudette of the day. Heather gave everyone the show they have been waiting for on last nights "Dancing With the Stars," and Sanjaya has America waiting in anticipation to see what his hair will look like on tonights "American Idol."

• A retired Couple from Queens finally made it to Arizona. The elderly couple took a cab from New York to Arizona just so their precious cat's would not have to sit in an airplane hanger for a few hours. I am sure a long and probably smelly cab ride seemed like a much better option.

New York to Arizona in six days

The retired New York couple that took a cab from New York to Arizona finally made it. The older couple did not want to fly because they did not want their cats to travel in an airport hanger. The couple thought it would be a great idea to hail a cab and have the cabbie drive them to Arizona instead. The couple spent $3,000 plus the cost of food and fuel. They could have probably flown back and forth from Arizona at least 2-3 times for that amount of money. The couple finally made it and are happy that there cats did not have to sit on an airplane for about 3 hours. Instead they got to sit in a hot stuffy cab 10 hours a day for almost a week. Only in New York!

Cabbie!

What do you do when you live in New York, don't drive, and have two cats and want to move to Arizona? Take a cab of course! That is what an older New York couple are doing. They got in a cab a few weeks ago after a shopping trip and started talking to the cabbie about their move. They jokingly asked the cabbie if he wanted to drive them to Arizona and he surprisingly said sure why not! It was a joke that became reality for elderly couple Betty and Bob Matas. They did not want to fly because they did not want their cats to be stuck in a cargo hold on an airplane for a few hours. They are getting New York City cab driver Douglas Guldeniz to drive them to Arizona. The cost of the trip will be $3,000 plus lodging, gas, and meals. The Matas' are apparently getting a great deal, David Pollack who is the director of the Committee for Taxi safety said the flat rate for this type of trip would be close to $5,000. It is hard enough to get a cabbie to go to Brooklyn, I can't believe this couple got someone to go all the way to Arizona. Only in New York!

Reese's new guy

Wouldn't you love to be Reese Witherspoon! She gets to date the hottest guys in Hollywood, although her previous marriage to Ryan Philippe fell apart she still got to be married to him for a little while. Now she has moved on to one of the hottest young Hollywood stars, she is allegedly dating Jake Gyllenhall. They have been seen around Los Angeles and New York together. They are trying to keep their public appearances very low key but the paparazzi keeps catching them. Jake maybe be a better balance for Reese. He is not a huge party guy and likes to stay home and do quiet normal things like cook and watch movies. They could ultimately turn out to be one of the cutest young Hollywood couples ever.

"The Nanny Diaries"

"The Nanny Diaries" is coming to the big screen. Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney, and Paul Giamatti are going to star in the remake of popular book written by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Krauss. The story which is set in New York, is about a young girl (Johansson) just out of college who is looking for a part time job as a nanny in order to make some money. Her wish was granted when she got a job working for a very wealthy upper east side business couple (Linney and Giamatti) . She just never realized she would have the employers from hell. The only reason she stays is because of Grayer, the child she is caring for. This remake of the very popular novel is a much anticipated release. With the success of other films such as "The Devil Wears Prada," the "Harry Potter" series and "Bridget Jones' Diary," " The Nanny Diaries" have a lot to live up to.

Trump got booted out of Golf Digest. His posh West Palm Beach Golf Club was taken out of Golf Digest magazines top 100 golf courses. Trump International Golf Club was previously ranked at number 84 and was voted the best golf course in Florida, so it is a mystery why his course got booted from the list. Trump seems to think they did not include the course in order to get a reaction out of him for some publicity. Their is also a notion that Golf Digest editors could be mad because Trump used a rival golf magazine on his show "The Apprentice." Either way Trump is going to have to live with the fact that he is not on the top 100 list.

Celebrities get everything handed to them on a silver platter, it is just so unfair. Lindsay Lohan got offered an apartment at New York City's newest apartment building the Atelier on West 42nd street. Most people search for months and pay a ridiculous amount of money and time to find the perfect place to settle down in Manhattan. Well for Lindsay that is not a problem, if she wants this apartment it is hers. The developers are offering it to her in order to start a campaign for the new residential building They think Lindsay is a great person for the job because she is young and is a fixtures around Manhattan.

James is turning into Tony, well at least he is stealing some of his moves. The season premiere of The Sopranos airs next Sunday and the cast went out to party last night at New York's Guest House. James grabbed a girl and spun her around the floor Tony Soprano style. I wonder what Carmella would say? In real life Soprano star is single so he can pick up a girl any time he feels the urge.

Being rich does not make you happy? Many people always say that and it is usually someone rich. This time it is words of Russell Simmons, he says money does not necessarily make you happy. He has brought hip-hop to a new level and made millions of dollars, he seems pretty happy to me. Who wouldn't enjoy traveling, shopping, and pretty much doing whatever you want. I would think it would make most people happy but I guess I am going to have to get rich to find out.

Jeremy Piven got banned. At a dinner at Nobu, Aspen, he left a DVD of the first season of "Entourage" instead of a monetary tip. The waiter ran up the stairs after him and told him to never come back. The manager said Piven and his guests were acting inappropriately and were very rude. He told Piven never to come back to his restaurant or its affiliates in New York and Los Angeles.


Britney is dancing again while Kevin parties with his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson. Britney seems to be doing well since she got out of rehab. She has been taking dance classes at Millenium Dance Complex, and having dinner with her girlfriends. She is trying to spend time with her family and friends in order to stay out of trouble. While Britney is trying to stay clean K-Fed is partying it up with his ex. All of the stress and responsibility must have gotten to him while Britney was in rehab, so know he is releasing all of the tension. What a great dad!

Is she jealous or was there really a conflict in schedules? Nicky Hilton was supposed to have a show at Miami's fashion week for her clothing line Nicholai but cancelled it yesterday due to a scheduling conflict, but the rumor going around is she did not want to have anything to do with fellow heiress Lydia Hearst. There was an incident in L.A. at an Alvin Valley Fashion show where Hearst was pulled out of the front row at the last minute to fill in for a model. The rumor is that Nicky is very mad and jealous that Hearst found her way on the runway and Nicky didn't. It must be such a hard life for an heiress!


Katie Couric and super jazz musician Chris Botti Chris Botti together again. There were rumors that they were dating a few months ago but now they have been spotted in different clubs and intimate dinners around New York City. Some of you may not remember Chris, but if you used to watch the Rosie O'Donnell show back in the day, he was her band leader that everyone thought was gay. Funny how in reality the situation was flipped.


Both of the Hilton sisters are making the papers today. Turns out Paris seems to think she was robbed when she arrived at LAX, apparently the security officers snatched some of her stuff while they were going through her bags. This is the second time this has happened to Paris turns out that a while ago someone stole a pricey watch from her baggage when she went through security. What a hard day for the Hilton sisters.

All the girls out there who were obsessed with "Sex and The City" will be happy to know that there is a chance to dress like the trendy fashionista Carrie Bradshaw. Her wardrobe on the hit series was outrageous yet beautiful at the same time. She made Manolo Blahniks, and the infamous fanny pack fashionable again. All the clothes she wore were worth a lot more than the average girl could afford, well ladies grab your wallets! Sarah Jessica Parker is creating a clothing line called "Bitten" she will be creating everything from clothes to head bands, and will have them distributed to New York reatail stores Steve and Barry's. Now every girl will get to feel as fabulous as Carrie did.

With Britney in rehab another pop diva has to take over the party scene. Lindsay Lohan has been shaking her booty all over the place and most recently has been partying in New York City. She hit the clubs Saturday night with a few of her famous gal pal's and caused some commotion in the club. I guess someone has to take over the tabloids now that Britney, Paris, and Nicolle are not around as much... Smile Lindsay it is your turn, just remember to always wear some panties!


Kirsten Dunst is a dating machine. She is a lucky gal and gets to date some of the hottest men in music and films. She got Jake Gyllenhall and broke up with him, briefly dated Tobey Maguire and dumped him. Now she is starting to date rock stars so she can dump a new genre of performers. She was dating Fabrizio Moretti soon after his very publicized break up with Drew Barrymore THEN she recently dumped him for a new rock star Razorlight's Johnny Borrell. She is a dating machine I just hope for her she can find someone that she won't dump in two weeks. Good luck!


Hermione is leaving! Not so fast! rumors were flying around that Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger in the extremely popular Harry Potter films was thinking about leaving before the last two films "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" were finished. Filming for the new installment is supposed set to start later this year, and producers were scared that she would not return, apparently it is just a rumor and she is ready to film the last two parts of the "Harry Potter" series. Thank goodness, they can't just replace Hermione in the last two movies, it just would not be "Harry Potter" without her.

Regis is ok!

Regis went into surgery yesterday morning for a triple bypass surgery, but he came out of it fine. He was in Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, and is said to be in full recovery. He will not return to Regis and Kelly for at least five weeks, but people are sending their love out to him. It should be interesting to see him come back to the talk show, I am sure he will have hilarious stories, and knowing Regis some crazy pictures from his time off. Kelly must be going nuts, five weeks with a different co-host every day what is she gonna do!!!

Super model will be mopping floors.

Oh how the tables have turned. When Naomi Campbell got in trouble for throwing her cell phone at her maid she was court ordered to work for New York's Sanitation Department. Now she is going to be the one mopping floors, She will be working with the Sanitation Department as her community service. She does not know exactly what she is going to be doing but it is not going to be pretty. It seems that she has learned a lesson or at least she is pretending that she did. Naomi said after New York's fall fashion week, she is going to donate and sell a lot of her clothes to charity. She also wants to try something new, and has been thinking about hosting her own television show. Maybe since her and Tyra Banks have made up they could host a show together. I would give them five minutes until they started pulling each others hair out, Now that would make for great television.

Springer replaces Philbin

Regis Philbin gets replaced. The former host of the NBC show "America's Got Talent" is being replaced by Jerry Springer. Philbin said he decided not to host the second season of the show due to the heavy traveling schedule, it is very difficult for him to tape "Live With Regis and Kelly" which is taped in New York, and "America's Got Talent" which is filmed in Los Angeles. Jerry Springer decided to do the show when he was approached by NBC' Craig Plestis. Springer said he has had a lot of the contestants on his talk show and said he would feel right at home playing host. The second season is set to air this summer on NBC.

When you have a craving do anything to fulfill it, that is what Kanye West thought. He paid $3,900 to get food shipped to him from London to New York. He was craving a meal from Raj's Dining Room, and just had to have it. He got an order flown over for him and seven of his friends. I think we can all agree it is one of the most expensive meals ever!

Nicole Richie was on the verge of fainting. She complained that she was weak and dizzy while filming an episode of "The Simple Life" producers rushed her to the hospital where she was pumped up with fluids and forced to eat. I think the producers should have just sat her down and forced her to eat a burger!

David Beckham got injured last night during a soccer match. He got a little to excited and went for a ball, not realizing how close he was to the wall. He hit the advertising signs and injured his right leg. Poor guy how is he going to explain to his wife that she can't be on television? We are just going to have to wait and see what happens with the Beckham's.

Ashton Kutcher calls our a poor girl on " The Ellen Degeneres Show" she was forced to dance all by herself on national television, at least she got to dance with Ashton. I have to say she is one lucky girl, maybe she decided not to dance on purpose!

Kanye has a craving

Everyone gets a craving once in a while but when it comes to Kanye West he will do anything to fulfill that craving. The famous rap artist had a hard core craving for some Indian food, but not any Indian restaurant would suffice. He wanted a meal from Raj's dining room in London! An average meal from this eatery would cost approximately $17.oo, but for Kanye to have a meal shipped for him and seven of his friends it would cost him a whopping $3,900. When the restaurant got the request for the order they were shocked. No one has ever placed this type of order. The restaurant specially prepared the food and packed it in dry ice so it could with stand the travel. The restaurants head chef had to travel with the food in order to properly prepare it once it arrived in New York. This one order is the equivalent to what the restaurant would make in two nights. Everyone has cravings but this is just crazy! Definitely one of the most expensive meals ever!

Little boy explores the subway

A curious little boy took a ride all alone. 22 month old Stuart Tito Delmundo, is a very curious little boy who is fascinated with trains. Yesterday he took his fascination a little to far, as he was waiting on a subway platform with his mother for the train to pull up. His mother is aware of his fascination and curiosity so every time they are waiting for a train she holds on to him for dear life. She saw that his nose was running so she let go of him for a second to get a tissue. In that instant the young boy hopped on the train and his mother watched the doors close behind him. He got on a Manhattan bound 7 train. The mother was terrified and did not know what to do. The father came running down to the platform and immediately called 911. They were terrified that something would happen to their son after all it is New York, anything can happen! The police told the father to stay where he is. Luckily for the Delmundo family a nice elder woman who was on the train with young Tito saw what happened and picked him up. She got off at 61st street and came back to Junction Boulevard with the boy. The family was so relieved it was only a mere 15 minutes but for them it felt like a life time. They were praying that their son was ok, the family was so disheveled that when the woman gave back their son they did not even look at her. Thanks to this mystery woman their son is ok. They want to thank her but have no idea how to. Watch your kids people you never know when their curiosity is going to spark!

Controversial photos hit Cosi restaraunts

Cosi bans same sex marriage and couple photos in New Rochelle, NY. The chain restaurant put up a few pictures of same sex couples. The traveling exhibit is trying to spark talks of legalizing gay marriage and opening the eyes of political leaders. When Cosi took down the pictures they claimed that they could not keep the exhibit on their walls because it did not go through the companies "proper procedures for approving artwork." They had received many comments about the artwork both negative and positive. I think they just got scared and did not want this type of controversy to be associated with their particular chain. Cowards!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor hiccup girl :o(

Who would have thought that having the hiccups could get you on the news? That is what happened for 15 year old Jennifer Mee, she has made headlines for having the hiccups. ABC's Good morning America had left 57 messages for the young Florida native at her hotel. Jennifer has started hiccuping 4 weeks ago and for some reason can not stop. She was flown to New York on NBC so she could appear on the Today show. Jennifer's mother felt very guilty about not being able to help her daughter and did not want her to appear on ABC or any other station, but after all NBC had done for them she did not feel it was right to ditch the Today show. It was her first time visiting the big apple and I am sure she wished it was for a different reason than her hiccuping problem. She had calls waiting for her from The Ellen Degeneres show and other stations as far as Britain and Canada. All Jennifer could think about was going back to school and being a normal kid again. It is embarrassing but funny for her, she became famous for having the hiccups.
