Morning Snack

Today's morning snack is very simple and very easy. I am eating half of a whole grain bagel as a small snack, I know it is more like breakfast but I skipped breakfast this morning so I figured if I only eat half of the bagel it can be my snack. I just toasted the bagel and spread a teaspoon of cream cheese on top. This snack is the easiest and most convenient thing to make. Eat one of your favorite bagels with your choice of topping and enjoy your snack!

Sweet Sunday's

Sunday's are supposed to be the most relaxing day of the weekend, most people stay at home and spend time catching up with their families or their chores. Many people think of Sunday as the day of rest, some families go to church then go out for a nice leisurely breakfast or brunch while others sleep in and read the paper while they spend the day in bed with their loved ones. Sunday's are a day to de-stress from the craziness of the rest of the weekend and it is time to be with the people you truly want to spend time with. Sundays are a day of eating and relaxing, after all most people have a huge Sunday dinner, and won't be able to move for the rest of the day anyway. Some people may dread Sunday's because it means that they have to go back to work tomorrow but at the same time it is their last day to relax before the stressful week begins. Take one day and try to spend time with the people you really care about, I guarantee it will make you happy and it will give you a chance to enjoy your sweet Sunday's.

Morning Snack

This morning's snack is more of a late breakfast than a snack. I had a craving for pancakes so I decided to make strawberry pancakes. I used a regular boxed pancake mix and added fresh strawberries into the batter, you can put any type of fruit into these pancakes I just happened to have fresh, sweet berries. The pancakes came out fluffy and delicious, just remember not to over mix your batter otherwise the pancakes will not be light and fluffy instead they will become very chewy. Pancakes are the perfect meal they are filling and satisfying, create your own pancakes today and enjoy!

Morning snack

This mornings snack is simple to make and is very refreshing. Apples and honey is the perfect sweet snack to get you through until lunch. I skipped breakfast this morning and wanted to eat something small before I ate my lunch. I went through the fridge to see what I had and found a nice crispy apple, I wanted to make it a little bit sweeter so I drizzled some honey on top of it. In order to make it a little tart and crunchy I threw in some walnuts and dried cranberries. It was my own version of a cold apple pie and it was delicious. Try it and I guarantee it will satisfy your sweet tooth but won't make you to full. Enjoy!

Recipe of the day

Today's episode of 30 Minute Meals is all about breakfast. When the kids or adults are hungry this meal is the perfect quick fix. Apple-maple-chicken sausage sandwiches and Crunchy monkey peanut butter banana sticks are the perfect way to start any morning. This is a classic breakfast sandwich with a healthy and flavorful twist. The sausage sounds complicated to make but is actually very easy. It is a combination of ground chicken, diced fresh apples, onions, garlic and a drizzle of maple syrup. Mix it all together and you have created your own home made sausage. Top these sausage patties with scrambled eggs mixed with a little cheese and put it all in between an english muffin or a nice flaky buttery biscuit.

Dessert for breakfast? These peanut butter bananas are so healthy and easy to make. As a kid at some point everyone has had a peanut butter and banana sandwich. This is the same concept but without the bread. Put a banana on a wooden skewer. Slather with honey and peanut butter, roll it around in some chopped nuts and you are done. It is truly delicious!

Breakfast. Yummy!!!!!!

Rise and shine! I am so lucky that I get to work from home, especially in the winter. When the air is cold, and the sky is grey you can't think of anything but being warm and comfortable. For me that also means nice comfort food. It is time for breakfast and I am trying to think of what to make. Winter always makes me think pancakes, french toast, and omelets. Blueberry pancakes are the perfect comfort breakfast anytime of year. French toast just makes the house smell like the holidays so that is instantly comforting, and omelets just are easy and always satisfying. If you have not noticed I am very hungry. now I just need to figure out what I am going to eat. I will fill you all in later on my comfort breakfast. ;o)

I went with the blueberry pancakes. They were delicious! Yummy!!!!!!!!!
