It is soon to be the start of the weekend, the work day is coming to an end and friday night is approaching. We all go out with our friends to relax and unwind. Many women go out with the intention of meeting someone but ladies beware of who you meet, I don't think you will want to end up with one of these guys. Beware of the beer goggles!

A delicious end to the weekend

I had a great Sunday and I hope all of you did as well. I slept in and did some work but decided to host a small barbecue with one of my friends because it was such a beautiful evening. My friend and I thought we would do our own thing and respectively finish all of the work we had to do before the week approached, but it was such a beautiful day so we decided to have a barbecue for a few of our friends. We went to the grocery store at the last minute and grabbed whatever we thought would taste good. We ended up getting hot dogs, hamburgers, and some chips. The guys did their job and made the most delicious hamburgers ever! The girls kind of sat around and waited for the food, it made sense that the girls did all the shopping and the guys cooked the food! It was a delicious meal and it was a nice and relaxing Sunday evening.

Summer Saturdays

The weather is starting to get nicer and I can't help but think about sitting in the backyard with my bathing suit on lounging by the pool, this picture might not look as good as it does once the cover is off and the backyard is filled with all of my friends splashing around in the pool. The barbecue is on fire and the smell of hamburgers and hot dogs just get you in the mood for the summer. My house on the weekends is like party central. Twenty people lounging around and soaking in the sun is the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday. It is a nice break from reality, summer Saturdays are a weekly vacation from work that is cheap, easy and so much fun. Here are some other things that you can do to enjoy your Saturday. If you are a thrill seeker Great Adventure is always a good option. It might be a little pr icy but it is a fun way to spend your Saturday. Another option is taking a trip to the jersey shore. The only problem with that might be the traffic but once you get to the shore it is very calm and relaxing. There are many ways to spend your Saturday but for me a day in the backyard is the perfect way to enjoy the day.

• What do you do when it is laundry day? Try to hide from your friends of course! It may be a little embarrasing but when you walk down stairs in a clean bath robe it is a lot better than your friends seeing you in old sweats and stained sweatshirts.

• Simon gets in trouble again, but this time it was not intentional. He claims he was not rolling his eyes at Chris Richardson for giving a shout out to his friends at Virginia Tech, he was just rolling his eyes at Chris' performance.

What are friends for?

What do you do when one of your friends are sick? Soup! That is usually the first thought that comes into people’s minds. It is the perfect remedy for the cold or flu. Something hot and soothing is what most sick people want. It usually brings back the comfort of having your mom take care of you. Chicken noodle soup is one of life’s greatest comfort foods. It is up there with meatloaf and mashed potatoes. There are certain things that remind you of being in the comfort of your childhood bed and having your mom take care of you. For me it was toast and tea, my beautiful and compassionate mom always used to tuck me into bed with a hot cup of tea and two pieces of toast in order to give me something to eat that would settle my stomach. She would always be by my side in order to make sure nothing bad would happen. If I were going to throw up she was always there to hold my hair, and when I cried afterward she would sleep in my room. I know I might sound like a baby but I think we take for granted how nice it is to have your mom by your side. Once you get older you start to depend on your friends. I just found out one of my friends might need a shoulder to lean on and I would love to be there as her pretend mom. Sometimes there are certain things that you don’t want your mom for. In certain circumstances it is easier to talk to your friends. I think all of you who may not have a mom around you know what I am saying. I did not mean to bring anyone down, but it is always nice to know that your friends will always be there for you!

Concert time!

The weather is changing and the days are getting longer. That can only mean one thing, summer is approaching very soon. Days at the beach, picnics in the park, and t-shirts and tank tops is something to look forward to after the horribly cold winter we have had. For me the best part about the summer is all the concerts. There is nothing better than the anticipation of seeing your favorite band with all of your friends. Concerts let you take a vacation from normal life. For three hours you get a chance to be a little kid again. You are aloud to scream your heart out and sing as if you were in your own shower because there are thousands of other people singing around you. Concerts give you the opportunity to relax and let yourself go. It is one day where you can forget about reality and indulge yourself in something that truly makes you happy. Going to a concert is one of life's greatest pleasures and this summer there is a show for everyone to indulge themselves in. Here is a list of all the summer concerts that will be coming to an arena or stadium near you. Here are a few of my favorite concert picks.


The Killers have become one of the most popular bands over the past two years. Everyone has been in a bar or club or even in their own car screaming "Somebody Told Me' or "Mr Brightside" imagine being able to scream your heart out in the middle of thousands of people dancing and screaming around you.

Billy Joel will have everyone singing like a "Piano Man" it is one of the most anticipated concerts of the season.

This concert is what I have been waiting for all year. "Dave Matthews Band" tours almost every summer and I can't get enough of him. For me he is the greatest performer of all time. I wanted to get tickets to see him perform with Tim Reynolds on April 22 at Radio City music hall, but it had sold out within minutes. Dave Matthews has one of the greatest fan followings of our time. For all of you Dave fans out there I am sure you know what I am talking about. He has designed a fan club called "The Warehouse" and is very committed to giving money to charities. He does not let companies sponsor his show because half of the money the band gets from ticket sales goes to different charities. Dave Matthews is one the greatest performers I have had the privilage to see. I have been following him since I was a senior in high school and I still look forward to seeing him every summer. It is the biggest event of the summer for me and ten of my friends. We prepare for this concert months in advance. This summer he is playing at the Tweeter Center in Camden,NJ August 7-8. This concert is something I have been waiting for all year and I can't wait to go!

After she brought her new son Pax home from an orphanage in Ho Chi Min City, she said she wants to get him used to life with his new surroundings. That is going to be a little hard considering she is supposed to start filming a new movie in Eastern Europe

• On the much anticipated season finale of "Dirt" Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston did something that most men have been waiting for since "Friends" was on air.

• Oh Sanjaya! you either need to find a new hairstylist or start being a character for a new animation show.

• Get ready for the sixth and final installment of "The Sopranos" I wonder who the first person to get whacked is going to be?

• Forest Whitaker and Keanu Reeves are going to hit the big screen in "The Night Watchmen"

• Paris is corrupting a new boy, now she has moved on to "Desperate Housewives" star Josh Henderson. Maybe the "bad boy" and "crazy girl" will balance each other out.

• Hilary Duff and Joel Madden will always be friends. Neither of them will say anything negative about their relationship after the breakup. They truly were a great rock/pop couple.

• E! News Studios got two bomb threats! Thank god Ryan Seacrest is OK!!! How would television survive without him.

Joel and Hilary are on good terms. After their breakup Last November Joel Madden and Hilary Duff have faced many questions about why they split, but there was never an actual reason stated to the public. The only statement we got was that their breakup was a mutual decision. To this day that is the only explanation coming out of the ex- couples mouth. Joel Madden has been dating Nicole Richie for a few months now and there have been many pictures circulating of the couple. Hilary Duff has been quiet about her recent relationships and is trying to concentrate more on working. It is nice to know that there is at least one young Hollywood couple that can respect each other after a break up.
