On most Sunday's my friends and I have a ritual, we get together for an early dinner to catch up on what happened over the weekend. It is our own version of the girls at the diner on "Sex and the City." Last night we went to Cleveland's Tap Room. I have been there many times, but usually on a Thursday night to hang out not eat. I knew they had the greatest cheeseburgers in the world, but last night I wanted to try something different. I ventured out and got Shepherd's Pie. For those of you who have had it before I wish you had told me about it, for those who have not Oh my god!!!! It is one of the most delicious things you will ever put in your mouth. It is a layer of beef, mixed with carrots, celery, peas, and onions then the whole thing is topped off with a creamy smooth delicious layer of mashed potatoes. It is all baked in the oven so the potatoes get a crispy brown crust on top, my mouth is watering just talking about it. It truly is one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth.

Recipe Of The Day
Today's 30 Minute Meals is all about meat and potatoes, but it is definately not your average steak dinner. It is a hot and spicy version of the all american dish. Fiery Hot Texas T-Bones with Chipotle Smashed Potatoes and Hot and Sweet Pepper Saute is a meal that will clear your sinuses. The steak is rubbed down with grill seasoning, cumin, chili powder, and smoky chipotle chili powder, it is Sauteed in a pan and topped off with a combination of colorful bell peppers and smoky jalepeno and chipotle peppers. It is a perfect balance of hot and sweet. If that does not sound spicy enough for you, get another kick in your mouth with chipotle smashed potatoes. These potatoes have a tremendous amount of flavor. Bacon, onions, and chipotle chili powder are cooked together then smashed up with sour cream and the potatoes. Warning! this meal is not for people with a sensitive spice pallete, this meal will definately get your eyes watering. Enjoy!

Recipe of the day
Today's episode of "30 minute Meals" is all about the tastes of Havana. This is a Cuban twist on American favorites. Mojito Mashed Sweet Potatoes, is definitely an inventive version of classic mashed potatoes. It is a way to "eat your drink." Everyone has heard of the popular drink mojito, well this version of mashed potatoes has all the flavors of the classic drink. Sweet potatoes are mashed up with rum, mint, and brown sugar. It is almost a dessert but it is a wonderful side dish for Cuban Sloppy Joe's. This sandwich is a take on the classic Cuban meal (RopaViejos.) ground meat is mixed up with green olives, tomato sauce, coriander, chili peppers, and cumin. It sounds weird but It promises to be delicious. When you think about it how bad can spiked mashed potatoes be? All of the ingredients needed for this meal may seem a little foreign to you, but they can all be found in the regular grocery store. It is the weekend, instead of going out and spending a lot of money on a meal like this invite some friends over and try to make it at home. it is easy and exotic. Enjoy!
