Does Kelly eat or puke?

Kelly Clarkson says she loves food way to much to have an eating disorder, but admitted to being bulimic when she was in high school. One of her friends caught on to her problem and Kelly quit her disorder cold turkey. If you are gonna eat what is the point of throwing it up it is so gross and I imagine it must start to hurt after a while. Kelly might as well have not eaten anything or taken after many other young female celebs and went on the "liquid diet."

The perfect Saturday

It is such a beautiful day, this week has been unbelievably amazing but most of us have been stuck inside working. Today is the day to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather, the sun is shining but it is not too hot out. On this beautiful sunny day there are many things to do before it gets to be summer and is unbearable to sit outside without sweating your booty off. It could be as simple as taking a walk or just sitting outside with a nice cup of iced coffee or you could truly enjoy the day and invite all of your friends over for a barbecue. Nothing says summer like the smell of food cooking on the grill. Whatever your pleasure may be I sincerely hope all of you are taking advantage of this beautiful day, I know I did. I went to the park with two of my girlfriends for lunch, we decided to grab a few slices of pizza and have a little impromptu picnic. The three of us were definitely not prepared for all of the little kids screaming around us, there were these two little kids who decided to play soccer and unfortunately kicked their ball right on top of my friends lunch, it sucked for her but for my other friend and I it was hilarious! Shortly after that we decided to leave the park so the kids could have free reign and ruin other peoples picnics, it was a fun day and we got to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, I hope all of you do the same as well.

Morning Snack

A grilled cheese sandwich is a very simple and hearty morning snack. It can be made the classic way with American cheese and white bread, or it can get a gourmet twist by using ciabatta bread, tallegio cheese, and arugula. There are many variations for a grilled cheese sandwich but my favorite is the all American classic version. A piece of American Cheese gushing out of two pieces of toasty white bread is a classic comfort food that is an easy and delicious snack.

Recipe of the day

Today's episode of 30 Minute Meals is all about guilty pleasures. We all try to eat healthy every day but once in a while you have to indulge in the things you are craving . It is not fun to eat the same thing every day like chicken, fish, or pasta. This meal will get you in the mood to sit down in front of the TV or have your friends over for a little party. The German Cheddar and Beer Fondue and the Warm Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream are two easy to make comfort foods that will have you ready to indulge!

Food Network Awards

Food Network goes to South Beach. The Food Network had it first awards show in Miami's trendy South Beach during the annual food and wine festival. The show was taped on February 23rd and will air on April 15th. Emeril Lagasse was master of ceremonies and all of our favorite Food Network personalities were on hand to present and give demonstrations. Paula Dean and her sons, Nigella Lawson, Giada Delaurentis, Mario Batalli, Bobby Flay, and Alton Brown were a few of the presenters. This off beat awards show celebrated food and the joy of cooking (no pun intended.) Catherine Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckahart attended the ceremony and were presenters. They were on hand to promote their new film "No Reservations" which is a romantic drama about two Manhattan chefs who are rivals but somehow get caught up in a romance. Of all the people that would go to the "Food Network Awards" I never thought it would be these two. It should be an interesting and off beat ceremony. Tune in April 15th to the first ever "Food Network Awards" and see how it all pans out!

recipe of the day

Fast food gets a healthy twist on today's episode of 30 Minute Meals. Rachel Ray takes the all american meal of a burger and fries and makes it healthy and easy to make at home. Her recipe for turkey chili burgers combines all of the flavor we love but don't have to feel guilty for eating. Her recipe includes everything you love in chili but making it into a burger. Chili seasoning adds an extra kick while cheddar cheese runs all through the burger in order to make it moist. She makes a refreshing cole slaw to go along side these burgers, the cole slaw is very healthy because the dressing has no mayonnaise in it. Who can eat a burger without french fries? I know I can't.. She takes a regular package of frozen french fries but gives it a twist by putting garlic butter all over them and baking them in the oven. This is a wonderful twist on the typical hamburger and french fries, and for once you don't have to feel guilty for eating fast food.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations is a show that airs Monday nights at 10pm on the Discovery Channel. It is a show that has Bourdain traveling the world in search of authentic cuisine. He is not a stuffy uptight chef. Throughout the show he is cursing, drinking, and smoking. He does not worry about hurting people's feelings and will flat out tell you if your food is horrible. His commentary throughout the show can often be hilarious, to hear his thoughts on the people he is with makes for a very entertaining hour of television. He has a wide palate and is not afraid to try anything, watching him eat certain things such as snakes blood in Thailand might make you want to gag, but other things will make your mouth water. Anthony Bourdain is a well respected chef and has worked in many established restaurant. One of his well known places, the Supper Club, in New York City is what make Anthony Bourdain a well respected chef. He truly enjoys food and wants others to experience food the way he does. If you have not noticed I am somewhat of a food lover, this show is not just about cooking though. It lets you travel and taste the world through someone else's eyes. It is truly entertaining.
