Zach Braff

Zach Braff may become one of the highest paid male actors on television. His hit comedy show "Scrubs" is one of the top rated shows on television. if "Scrubs" is renewed for a seventh season and the viewer ratings stay as they are or increase. Zach Braff will make $350,000 an episode. He will be reaching Hollywood gold and will be at a level with Charlie Sheen. Along with "Scrubs" Braff is also starring in a comedy called "The Ex." and is set to direct and star in a paramount pictures film "Open Hearts."watch the preview for "The Ex" below.


"The Ex"

NBC is making a switch. The networks Sunday and Wednesday Lineups are going to change. The popular games show "Deal or no Deal" will be moving from Thursday at 9:00 to Sunday at 9:00. The Wednesday night line up will have "Dateline", "Grease:your the one that I want," and "The Apprentice." This will be the first time a regularly scheduled reality show will have the 10 p.m time slot on Sunday. Thursday night's line up will be a filled with drama with shows including the football themed drama "Friday Night Lights," "Crossing Jordan," and "Medium." These new time slots should help improve ratings for these shows, and will create two nights of great television.

The Nielsen ratings have hit college campuses for the first time. Daytime shows such as Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and Passions have gone up in ratings among many college students. Daytime soap opera's have gone up 30% while prime time ratings have also risen. Two of the most popular shows have been Grey's Anatomy and Gilmore Girls. A boost in these ratings for the demographic of 18-24 means a lot for these shows. Advertisers have more interest in these time slots which will help for the shows survival. The daytime soap opera Passions was set to be cancelled in the fall of 2007 but if their ratings keep increasing they have a stronger chance of survival. Who said lounging out and watching television was a bad thing. These ratings definitely prove otherwise.
