The perfect Saturday!

When you wake up to sunshine and warm weather you can't help but think of how to spend this beautiful day. I got up at 9:00 to 5 phone calls from my best friend. She had the same feeling I did, we decided to go for a walk then spend the morning shopping. I know it is a beautiful day, but I am a girl after all, shopping is a big part of the weekend criteria. We wanted to go for a walk but instead we went to the park and acted like little kids. We played on the playground and then got on the swings for a little while. After our park excursion we went to the mall and spent twenty minutes shopping. Just because I am a girl does not mean I need to spend five hours at the mall. After the mall we decided to have a nice leisurely lunch. We went to Houlihan's and were able to sit on there outside patio. We got to soak in the sun and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I had the greatest lunch, for those of who that have never been to Houlihan's there is an appetizer called 'shrooms that are to die for. It is a large mushroom cap filled with garlic cream cheese, then dipped in panko bread crumbs and fried golden brown. It is not the most heart healthy food in the world but it is truly delicious. Take some time out of your day and enjoy the beautiful weather. Tomorrow it is supposed to be cold and rainy. Today is the day to get out and enjoy the warm sunshine. Happy Saturday!!!!

More city restaurants are shutting down.

More NYC restaurants are closing due to a rat infestation. The parent company that owns the chains of Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut are shutting down chains all over the city. They have gotten a lot of comments for passing inspection in their West Village chain because it was clear that these rodents were running around all over the restaurant. This story has received a lot of attention because of a video that vividly reveals the infestation that is circulating on the Internet. News reporters have been covering this story for nearly two weeks now, and the owners decided to shut down more chains until these restaurants pass a new inspection by the city's health department. rats take over popular eatery

This one is not for the squeamish. A popular eatery has been shut down due to an infestation of rats. The Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken on 6th avenue in the west village has been shut down due to the rat problem. There are pictures and videos of these creatures running around and eating off the floor. CBS 2 reported on this story early this morning and tried to talk to a manager or some employees to see if they were aware of this problem., no one responded. They shot a video from outside of the restaurant and caught many of these rodents had taken over. One of the managers said they were going to contact the franchise owner, and said this condition is absolutely unacceptable. The restaurant is closed until this problem can be fixed. This is not the first time this particular franchise has been shut down due to an infestation. Before the restaurant closed its doors these rats were running around with the customers and eating off the floor and going as far as jumping on to their food trays.
